GoHighLevel voice AI and Avoonta: how agencies use them together or apart
Avoonta gives your agency AI agents that call new leads within seconds, follow up, answer your phone and book appointments on your calendar. If you already run clients on HighLevel, Avoonta connects through a workflow action, the HighLevel calendar and form webhooks, and it also works with other calendars and lead sources.
What Avoonta does on the phone
An AI agent is the voice that talks to your leads and callers for you. Each agent has a name, a voice, a language, a short script and a goal: book on your calendar, transfer to you live, or just send you the answers.
Every new agent starts as a draft. Nothing rings anyone until you press Go live.
- Calls new leads within seconds of arriving from your trigger link, an integration or the API.
- Follows up when nobody answers, with up to 3 calls in total on your follow-up plan.
- Dials with voicemail screening and only starts talking when a real person says hello. Unanswered calls and voicemail checks are free to you.
- Answers inbound calls to your Avoonta numbers 24/7 as a receptionist.
- Hands a hot lead to your team with live transfer, or takes a message if nobody picks up.
Call contacts from HighLevel workflows
With the Avoonta HighLevel app installed, every HighLevel workflow can use the action Call contact with AI agent. The contact is called by the AI agent you choose, and the result is written back to the contact.
To set it up, connect HighLevel calendar under Numbers & Calendar in Avoonta. This installs the app on your HighLevel location (sub-account).
- Avoonta adds a note to the HighLevel contact with the result, the appointment time if one was booked, a short summary and the talk time.
- Each call adds one tag: ai-call-booked, ai-call-qualified, ai-call-not-a-fit or ai-call-no-answer.
- The same contact is called at most once a day from workflows, even if several workflows fire.
- If HighLevel is briefly unavailable, Avoonta retries the write-back for about 15 hours.
Book straight onto your HighLevel calendar
Set the agent's goal to Book on my calendar and connect a calendar, and Avoonta books a time while the lead is still on the phone.
- The agent checks your calendar for free times up to 14 days ahead and offers two or three of them.
- It reads back the day, date and time and books only after a clear yes.
- It books at most one appointment per call.
- It can text your booking link to someone who would rather pick a time themselves, only if they agree.
Send leads from HighLevel forms and other sources
Each Avoonta agent has its own trigger link.
The same trigger link works with Facebook Lead Ads, Zapier, Make, Typeform and most form tools.
- Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads also have a direct connection under Numbers & Calendar.
- Each trigger link accepts up to 60 leads a minute.
- Never put the trigger link in the HTML of a public web page. Post the form to your own server, Zapier or Make, and forward it from there.
Complement or alternative: how agencies decide
If HighLevel is your CRM, Avoonta works alongside it.
If a client does not use HighLevel, Avoonta still works. Leads can come from a trigger link, a CSV import, the API, or the HubSpot and Shopify integrations when they are available for your account. Bookings can go to Google Calendar, Outlook / Microsoft 365 or Cal.com.
- Keep HighLevel and add Avoonta for calling: use the Call contact with AI agent workflow action.
- Run Avoonta for clients outside HighLevel: use trigger links, CSV import or the API.
- Mix both across your client list from one Avoonta agency login.

Compliance on every call
- AI disclosure. Every call, outgoing and incoming, opens with a fixed line saying the agent is an AI assistant for your business.
- Consent. In the US, an AI agent may only call or text people who agreed to be contacted by your business. Avoonta refuses to call a lead without that agreement, and keeps proof of it with every call and text.
- Calling hours. Avoonta only dials, retries and texts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM in the lead's own local time.
- Do-not-call list. The list is checked before every dial, retry and text. If it cannot be read for any reason, Avoonta refuses to dial rather than guess.
Questions
Do I have to leave HighLevel to use Avoonta?
No. Avoonta installs as an app on your HighLevel location and adds the Call contact with AI agent action to your workflows. Results come back to the contact as a note and a tag.
Can the Avoonta agent book into my HighLevel calendar?
Yes. The agent then offers free times and books once the lead confirms.
What happens when a lead does not pick up?
The agent tries again on your follow-up plan, with up to 3 calls in total counting the first. Unanswered calls and voicemail checks are free to you.
Will my clients see the Avoonta name?
On the White label plan, clients see your app name, logo, colour and web address, and get emails from your domain. Pair branding with a custom domain and branded emails so clients never see Avoonta.
Which languages can the agent speak?
Each agent speaks one language, chosen from a list that includes English (United States), Spanish (United States), French, German and many more. To reach English and Spanish speakers, use two agents, one per language.
